Review: Lover Mine (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8)

Lover Mine
Lover Mine (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a book!!! Great, just great. Do you believe in second chances? I didn't. But I guess I have to reconsider the fact of second chances. Because this book is about second chances in all kinda life situations; the love between John and Xhex, the father-son relationship between Thor and John. And as an extra to all this, we get a little peek to Eliahu Rathboone (aka Murdher???).
Let's not forget about Blay and Quinn. There little dance around each other is a little bit too much, for my opinion. But all in one, I loved reading this book. And I can't wait to read more of the Brotherhood and who will be there next big enemy, now that Lash was sent back to his father.

Review: Lover Avenged (The Balck Dagger Brotherhood, #6)

Lover Avenged
Lover Avenged (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

J.R. Ward knows how to keep you totally thrilled by her books. Even though you find multiple little stories of different character within one big stories and all those have a "meet-and-greet" at the end.

From book to book you get deeper inside the Black Dagger Brotherhood. In "Lover Avanged" the main focus is Rehvenge's life, past and present. We all have our little secrets we don't even wanna tell our partners, because we know this could destroy anything. But with Rehvenges' secret past and keeping it from his sister Bella and his love, to protect both of them. Also keeping away information about his "business" life for the same reason. Sometimes you past crosses your way again, especially when your information are in the hands of your "enemies". Unfortunately he failed in keeping it away from his love and he knows it breaks her heart, he only sees one solution to keep the pain and shame away from his sister. His death. But is he really dead?

Also we are able to get closer into the feelings for each other of John and Xhex. One is already a wrack, if it comes to love and tenderness. The other one becomes heart-broken and cold lover, who will never ever get to close to others.

"Lover Avanged" is full of emotions. A great ride through the adventures of the Brotherhood.

Reading Challenge

Through that great website of I am able to hold up to a "Reading Challenge". When I joined that site back in March this year, I set my challenge to 50 books-to-read.
Because of the fact, that I already read 44 books so far, I decided to increase my challenge to 60 books-to-read.
I am excited to see, if I will be able to make it.

For my followers and friends on I am always glad for book recommandations. So don't hold back.

Review: Lover Enshrined (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5)

Lover Enshrined
Lover Enshrined (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a pretrans, Phury tried to please everyone, his mother, his father. The whole wide world. He wanted his "mahmen" to stop suffering over the loss of his twin and start notice him. He wanted to hear his father say three letters to him, at least for once. But he'd never been called 'son'. Never. Ever.
His only family member left, can never thank him for being recued by him. So what did he do, to kill his inner voice, the "wizard"? He started drugs. He wanted to kill and calm that inner bastard. The one who always did everything right so to suit everybody around him. But did he ever ever lived his life.
When Phury realizes that he needs to stand up and fight for what he wants, he almost dies on an OD.
And next to Phury you read about John, Blay and Quinn struggling, Rehv trying to suviving the meetings with his blackmailer, and an angel finds a lost piece of the Brotherhood.

Review: Lover Eternal (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2)

Lover Eternal
Lover Eternal (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We all carry an inner beast within us. A beast, we have to fight to break through our skin every day. But for us, it's just the literally way. Rhage is actually turning into one, he shifts when anger, pain are to much to bear. Will he be able to to control his beast well enough to not to hurt his love, his life, his everything, his Mary?
Their story is a great installment to J.R. Ward's "Black Dagger Brotherhood". And you kinda get a hint of the upcoming story. Will that cruel, dangerous, and to-hiself-keeping Zsadist find a way out? How much could Bella already touch him, deep inside and close to his frozen heart?
