Review: Jim Morrison.

Jim Morrison.
Jim Morrison. by Ingeborg Schober

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Review: Marilyn Manson: Seziert

Marilyn Manson: Seziert
Marilyn Manson: Seziert by Gavin Baddeley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Man mag von Marilyn Manson halten, was man will.

Gejagte der Dämmerung (Midnight Breed, #9) by Lara Adrian

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review: Love My Rifle More Than You: Young, Female and in the US Army

Love My Rifle More Than You: Young, Female and in the US Army
Love My Rifle More Than You: Young, Female and in the US Army by Kayla Williams

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As a woman it happens quite often that you will get downrated by your male coworkers. Why? Not quite sure. Maybe they think you can't handle it for being a woman; you aren't strong enough or not tough enough? It will always a be a big riddle to the female population, why men think this way. But for some reason, we are used it and we still walk our path the way we want it. Getting around the big stones or jump the hurdles. But we do it. They try to talk us down, over and over again. A female reaction in a men's world, especially for Kayla Williams in the U.S. Army, she tries even harder; twice harder.
Her book about her time in the military and a year downrange in Iraq, is good book for those who wanna get a closer look to a female soldier life.

Review: Lover Mine (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8)

Lover Mine
Lover Mine (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a book!!! Great, just great. Do you believe in second chances? I didn't. But I guess I have to reconsider the fact of second chances. Because this book is about second chances in all kinda life situations; the love between John and Xhex, the father-son relationship between Thor and John. And as an extra to all this, we get a little peek to Eliahu Rathboone (aka Murdher???).
Let's not forget about Blay and Quinn. There little dance around each other is a little bit too much, for my opinion. But all in one, I loved reading this book. And I can't wait to read more of the Brotherhood and who will be there next big enemy, now that Lash was sent back to his father.

Review: Lover Avenged (The Balck Dagger Brotherhood, #6)

Lover Avenged
Lover Avenged (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

J.R. Ward knows how to keep you totally thrilled by her books. Even though you find multiple little stories of different character within one big stories and all those have a "meet-and-greet" at the end.

From book to book you get deeper inside the Black Dagger Brotherhood. In "Lover Avanged" the main focus is Rehvenge's life, past and present. We all have our little secrets we don't even wanna tell our partners, because we know this could destroy anything. But with Rehvenges' secret past and keeping it from his sister Bella and his love, to protect both of them. Also keeping away information about his "business" life for the same reason. Sometimes you past crosses your way again, especially when your information are in the hands of your "enemies". Unfortunately he failed in keeping it away from his love and he knows it breaks her heart, he only sees one solution to keep the pain and shame away from his sister. His death. But is he really dead?

Also we are able to get closer into the feelings for each other of John and Xhex. One is already a wrack, if it comes to love and tenderness. The other one becomes heart-broken and cold lover, who will never ever get to close to others.

"Lover Avanged" is full of emotions. A great ride through the adventures of the Brotherhood.

Reading Challenge

Through that great website of GoodReads.com I am able to hold up to a "Reading Challenge". When I joined that site back in March this year, I set my challenge to 50 books-to-read.
Because of the fact, that I already read 44 books so far, I decided to increase my challenge to 60 books-to-read.
I am excited to see, if I will be able to make it.

For my followers and friends on GoodReads.com I am always glad for book recommandations. So don't hold back.

Review: Lover Enshrined (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5)

Lover Enshrined
Lover Enshrined (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a pretrans, Phury tried to please everyone, his mother, his father. The whole wide world. He wanted his "mahmen" to stop suffering over the loss of his twin and start notice him. He wanted to hear his father say three letters to him, at least for once. But he'd never been called 'son'. Never. Ever.
His only family member left, can never thank him for being recued by him. So what did he do, to kill his inner voice, the "wizard"? He started drugs. He wanted to kill and calm that inner bastard. The one who always did everything right so to suit everybody around him. But did he ever ever lived his life.
When Phury realizes that he needs to stand up and fight for what he wants, he almost dies on an OD.
And next to Phury you read about John, Blay and Quinn struggling, Rehv trying to suviving the meetings with his blackmailer, and an angel finds a lost piece of the Brotherhood.

Review: Lover Eternal (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2)

Lover Eternal
Lover Eternal (The Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We all carry an inner beast within us. A beast, we have to fight to break through our skin every day. But for us, it's just the literally way. Rhage is actually turning into one, he shifts when anger, pain are to much to bear. Will he be able to to control his beast well enough to not to hurt his love, his life, his everything, his Mary?
Their story is a great installment to J.R. Ward's "Black Dagger Brotherhood". And you kinda get a hint of the upcoming story. Will that cruel, dangerous, and to-hiself-keeping Zsadist find a way out? How much could Bella already touch him, deep inside and close to his frozen heart?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The first of the series. Ad great. I really gotta say, I've bee reading the the books (up to book #8) already in German. And even in German, I loved them. But in English, the original written language of this series, it's even better.
You just gotta love Wrath and Beth, and the other warriors. And you just gotta hate their enemies, those stinky undead bastards. ;)

Review: Beiß mich, Käthe!

Beiß mich, Käthe!Beiß mich, Käthe! by Björn Willems
Erschienen bei EPIDU
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Klick hier!

Review: Der Dämon (Fallen Angels, #2)

Fallen Angels - Der DämonFallen Angels - Der Dämon by J.R. Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, what a great end of that series. It's really a touching story and very very breathtaking in so many situation throughout the book.

And when it came up to find and show off the real murderer I would never had expected "that" character to be the one.

Two more words: Loved It!

Vampire Academy 05. SeelenrufVampire Academy 05. Seelenruf by Richelle Mead

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dimitri is back. Dimitri is back to normal. But Dimitri wants Rose to stay away from him. He's beaten up by the things he did to her while he was a Strigoi. Rose is heart broken. She is confused. Next to her situation with her love, she's accussed for murder of the Queen.

Wow, what a dramatic book. It seems like there's no end for Rose, no sight of happiness, of a life she would love to live; being with Dimitri and keeping Lissa save.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seriously, it's been a really really long time since I read a book full of emotions, since a book was able to bring tears to my eyes or a smile on my face. Whenever Rose spoke about her love Dimitri, and the pain of losing him, a couple tears ran down my cheeks. I really have to thank Richelle Mead for such a great book, and being able bringing all those emotions out of the book and right into me...

Review: Dr. Jekyll und Mr. Hyde

Dr. Jekyll und Mr. HydeDr. Jekyll und Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What's to say about a classic like "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"? There's nothing more to say about it, what wasn't said already.

But I definitely enjoyed reading it, even if it was "rough" because of the old writing style. Still, a great book.

Der Untergang (Die Chronik der Unsterblichen, #4)Der Untergang by Wolfgang Hohlbein

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hmm, kinda hard to say something about this book. It was easy to read, but took really really long until something actually happened. Too many riddles within one book, even that I could imagine the "truth", are no good and make it hard to finish it. Sometimes I thought I will never make it through the book.

Die Chronik der Unsterblichen 01. Am Abgrund.Die Chronik der Unsterblichen 01. Am Abgrund. by Wolfgang Hohlbein

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

According to all the new modern vampire books, this series is the complete opposite. It takes a while to get into the whole story, but once you touched the glimpse of it you can't get rid off of the book.

Just great, a real kind of traditional vampire novel.

Hohlbein shows us another way of the nature of vampires. Great book.

Highly recommend it to everyone who is into vampires and wants to take a time out of the modern vampire stories.

BlutsschwesternBlutsschwestern by Richelle Mead

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In jedem Fall empfehlenswert.

Das Schattenland (Evermore, #3)Evermore - Das Schattenland (The Immortals, #3) by Alyson Noel

It was an okay book. But I honestly gotta say, that I am getting bored that Ever is always doing those "big mistakes". When is it time for her to be happy or to do something the right way.

Even that I gotta say, that I think there's nothing wrong with her last decision, but it still hard for her.
